Personalized stamps for golden anniversary of Laurel, Batangas.

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) Southern Luzon Area IV launched personalized stamps for the 50th anniversary of the town of Laurel in Batangas.
The stamps feature Laurel's historic and famous places.
The celebration's theme is "Kalahating Siglo ng Paglalakbay Tungo Sa Pag-unlad at Tunay na Pagbabago... Laurel Bayan Ko, ANG GALING MO!"
The unveiling of the personalized stamps, highlighted the occasion.
Laurel Mayor, Randy James E. Amo led the launching of the stamps with Municipal Administrator Ciriaco Calinisan, PHLPost Batangas Cluster Supervisor Emlyn C. Tizon, and Acting Postmaster of Laurel Melvin Calauag.
Also present were PHLPost Area 4 Chief of Marketing Section Ms. Nena J. Panganiban, Mr. Christian Gio Cosa (Assistant Market Specialist), and Mr. Eleuterio Castillo, Postmaster of Tanauan Post Office.
PHLPost announced that the stamps feature the Laurel Municipal building, Taal Volcano, Malagaslas Falls and Ambon-Ambon falls.
Laurel was formerly known as Barrio Bayuyungan, from the Tagalog word Bayong meaning a bag made of buri palm leaves.
The stamps are now available at the Laurel Post Office and Municipal Hall.
