Perrone Robotics Incorporated, a company that has developed several autonomous vehicles and is in partnership with certain automakers to help enable the autonomous car future, is collaborating with Professor Robert Hecht-Nielsen of the University of California, San Diego's Vertebrate Movement Laboratory and its research team.

The collaboration is aimed at advanced machine learning methods for Autonomous Vehicle perception and control. Perrone Robotics, Incorporated partnership with Hecht-Nielsen is intended to reveal an entirely new approach to AI integration with autonomous vehicles of all types.

The new collaboration project is based on a ground breaking method for perception and machine learning for autonomous vehicles and will integrate Hecht-Nielsen's work on artificial neural networks, confabulation theory, and vertebrate movement mathematics with PRI's applied experience in autonomous vehicles and robots.
