Perceptual Audio Evaluation: Theory, Method and Application.

Perceptual audio evaluation; theory, method and application.

Bech, Soren and Nick Zacharov.

John Wiley & Sons

442 pages

The search for an objective and quantified measure of the subjective judgment of sound quality has been pursued in academia and in some industries, but not much in the audio industry itself. Bech and Zacharov, with a Danish and a Finnish company respectively but both having served academic time, compile the basic information that has been developed in several scientific fields for the benefit of professional and engineers in the audio industry, researchers, and students who are conducting a perceptual evaluation of audio quality.
