New president and CEO of Waukesha Cutting Tools, Inc. (Waukesha, Wis.) is MuffTanriverdi, 44, who was most recently executive VP at Miller Fluid Power. The veteran of Komet of America holds an engineering degree from Leeds Polytechnic in the U.K. and an MBA from Northwestern Univ.'s Kellogg School.

More appointments at Unova's Cincinnati Machine (Cincinnati, Ohio) following previously announced moves of insiders Dan Janka and John Judge in connection with its new Advanced Systems & Services business, one of the two segments created when it recently divided marketing between value-added machines and commodity machines. The new, upscale, unit gets company veteran Rich Curless as VP for product and technology development, and Dwaine Isenberg, who joined last year, is promoted to VP for quality & engineering. Jeff Price, formerly VP of manufacturing, gets a new title: VP of operations at the Oakley manufacturing plant.

At GE Fanuc Automation North America Inc. (Charlottesville, N.C.), Kevin Roach is named VP of its $65-million Cimplicity automation software division. He'd founded and was president of a Massachusetts industrial controls company and was president of an automation-systems integrator.

At the Mazak Corp. New Jersey sales and tech center (Mountainside, N.J), Paul P. Dente is appointed sales manager. He was previously with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as regional sales manager and had been national service manager at Maho Machine Tool Corp.

Michael J. Germann, CMTSE, is named eastern regional sales manager for Enshu USA Corp. (Itasca, Ill.). The appointment is part of an expansion that moves the American subsidiary away from its former importer. As previously reported, the Japanese builder is rejiggering its worldwide sales strategy. Germann had been a vice president with distributors Gosiger Inc. and W.C. Burroughs.

At the Dahlstrom Industries division of rollforming equipment producer Formtek, Inc., David Voth joins as project manager. He had been in charge of applications at B&K Rotary Machinery Int'l Corp (Toronto, Ont.). Formtek acquired the B&K patents and machine designs in February.

Saket Chadda is the new chief technical officer at SpeedFam-IPEC, Inc. (Chandler, Ariz.), the producer of abrasive-finishing machinery and chemical-mechanical planarization systems for semiconductor manufacturers. He'd been Amtel and OnTrak.

John Shanahan, CMTSE, is joining EDM producer Agie, Ltd. (Davidson, S.C.) as sales manager for the southern territory. The veteran of Makino's mold and die group will take over the territory for Tomme Mayne, who retires in November.
