Pensioners sold short.
THE name of Tory disaster-zone George Osborne will be cursed in decades to come by the elderly living in poverty instead of comfort.
The redundant Chancellor's scam to encourage workers to blow their retirement funds - delivering the Conservative Government a tax windfall and a short-term economic boost while putting business the way of fatcat sharks - may prove as disastrous as the last Tory regime's pensions' mis-selling scandal.
Because it is scary that so many people are raiding their pension pots without, as the Citizens Advice Bureau discovered, thinking ahead to when they will really need the money.
We don't blame individuals, particularly when they are hard-up and struggling to pay the bills.
But we hold Osborne accountable and all those, including Prime Minister Theresa May, who under the false guise of freedom effectively consigned possibly millions of our elderly to a future that will be scarred by hardship.
Sharks are devouring the savings of Britain's maturer workers in a disastrous free for all.
When all of us should be saving, it is contemptible the Tories are destroying so many pensions.
