Penny-wise or pound-foolish?

THIS IS A RESPONSE TO THE LETTER TITLED "Temporary Insanity" from your November 2007 Letters column. There is nothing wrong with BLACK ENTERPRISE running the article "The Best of Everything." Does that article belong in BE? I say yes, it does. Why? Because after you build your wealth, what are you going to do with it?

Life is short, and you can't take all that money with you. So go out and live good. Yes, a lot of our entertainers and athletes messed up, but we can learn from them as well about what not to do. My mother taught me that famous saying as well--about not having a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. She used it to remind me to not spend all of my money.

Let me ask you, Mr. Davie: The Robb Beport magazine shows us all how to spend our money in the most incredible ways. Would you have sent them the same letter you sent BE?
