* I AM annoyed at the amount of letters published from councillors deriding councillors of a different political party.

Nuneaton and Bedworth's motto "United to Achieve" seems to be forgotten.

Please councillors, forget your political differences and get behind the council leader to help make this a better place to live in.

Albert Whitmore, Ryde Avenue, Nuneaton. Ian Harris (Letters, Nov 2) seems to agree with my earlier letter about previous German dictators trying to take over Europe, ie Otto Von Bismarck, Wilhelm Kaiser and Adolf Hitler.

It appears that the next in line will be Angela Merkel, taking over the role of Reich Chancellor. She has already hinted at violent repercussions if the rest of us don't toe the line. I'm getting my tin helmet and gas mask down from the loft, just in case!

George Taylor, Lindley Road, Coventry. I HAVE just had five weeks excellent care from social services intermediate care services.

I would like everyone to know what a marvellous job these people do. Thanks to them I am now coping with everyday life, just like I was before my illness.

Winifred Pearman, Quarrywood Grove, Coventry.
