Pele leads Sir Bob bid.

Byline: Tom Hopkinson

PELE will lead the tributes to England's World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore in a new feature-length documentary.

The as-yet-unnamed film will hit cinemas to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Moore lifting the Jules Rimet Trophy at Wembley, alongside a campaign to have the Three Lions great knighted posthumously.

And Pele said: "I saw a lot of football players who I played against, Franz Beckenbauer for example, Junior from Santos, but it's difficult to see players who played clean - tough, but very clean - like Bobby Moore.

"He was tough, but honest, and that was why we admired him. He was my friend and the greatest defender I ever played against - an honourable gentleman."
