Peeved over Peakies; views.

I HAD heard rumours of the BBC2 series on Peaky Blinders, not seeing the last article in the Mail, and very surprised at it being set in the 1920s.

Henry Lightfoot was my husband's great-grandfather and a rogue named as the first Peaky Blinder by the Birmingham courts. He was born in the 1870s. By the 1920s most of the young and middle aged men who had been the original Blinders were either dead from the war or influenza or in poor health from fighting for this country.

So please tell me how can this series be based post World War One? Mrs S Weaver, Solihull
