MONDAY: Gary Lineker's Golden Boots (BBC1, 7.30pm) In the last in the series, Gary visits the birthplace of Jules Rimet, the Frenchman behind the World Cup ideal. He also talks to two legends of French football - Just Fontaine, who scored a record 13 goals in a tournament and Michel Platini, who graced the competition in 1978, 1982 and 1986.TUESDAY: The Truth About Footballers (ITV, 9.00pm) Ally McCoist is the Scottish represen- tative in this expose of footballers' lives. From the makers of The Truth About Women, it talks to soccer stars, their wives, girlfriends and famous fans. On the couch with Ally are George Best, Vinnie Jones, David Ginola and Les Ferdinand. Yuri Geller and Mandy Smith are in the supporters' stand.
WEDNESDAY: er (Channel 4, 9.00pm) It is the morning after that illicit smooch between Benton (Eriq La Salle) and English rose Elizabeth Corday (Alex Kingston). As Benton high- tails it from Corday's flat, she faces frustrated admirer Romano.
THURSDAY: Touching Evil (ITV, 9.00pm) The series comes to a dramatic climax with Creegan (Robson Green) being forced to choose between his work and family. An anguished father comes back to haunt Creegan after setting fire to the detective's home. With his personal life and loved ones under threat, he has tough decisions to make.
FRIDAY: Invasion Earth (BBC1, 9.30pm) The sci-fi series hots up as alien warfare gets into gear. General Reece's team look like they have been outwitted by the nDs, while the authorities deny any threat exists. Tough woman Amanda Tucker (Maggie O'Neill) fights to overcome her festering wound while the world faces a health scare.
