Peek at the Week.

MONDAY: Panorama (BBC1, 10.00pm) Britain's railways are now well and truly in private hands. The last Government promised the rail revolution would mean faster, cheaper, better travel. But so far some of the new companies, including Richard Branson's Virgin Trains, have failed to deliver. This revealing report, called Branson's Pickle, investigates.

TUESDAY: McCallum (ITV, 9.00pm) Anorexia, euthanasia and a severely petted lip all figure in Running On Empty, the last two-parter in the series. McCallum and Moloney hand in their resignations in quick succession as two severely malnourished bodies continue to inhabit the St Patrick's fridges. Foul play is suspected, but Watt, McCallum's likely replacement, seems to know more than he's letting on.

WEDNESDAY: The Cruise (BBC1, 8.00pm) The luxury liner Galaxy ties up for the last time in the fly-on-the-hull docu-soap. Then Laura ties the knot with Gary in the ship's disco as Jane limbers up for a last chance to earn that standing ovation she's been dreaming about. Jack, the flamboyant dancer, has a plan to help her.

THURSDAY: Operation Survival: The Fisher King (BBC2, 8.00pm) The first in a new series focuses on Scotland's otters. There's footage of them helping themselves to a free midnight feast from some fishing nets, plus reports on the work of experts who study their behaviour and the team behind a rehab unit on Skye.

FRIDAY: Parkinson (BBC1, 10.50pm) Hollywood hero Liam Neeson natters to Parky about growing up in Northern Ireland, his success as a teenage boxer - and his return to the stage after acclaim in movies such as Schindler's List. And surprise, surprise, Cilla Black completes the bill.
