Pearlgood to be MD of data management firm.

ANTHONY PEARLGOOD has been appointed managing director of PHS Datashred and PHS Records Management.

The two companies operate in the data destruction and document storage sectors as part of the PHS Group, which has its headquarters in Caerphilly.

Mr Pearlgood has worked for PHS Group, the PS422m turnover workplace services business, for the past seven years.

He previously owned and managed his own data destruction company, Confidential Destruction Services, for five years before selling it to PHS Datashred.

He is also the chairman of the BSIA Information Destruction Section.

Mr Pearlgood said: "My aim with my new roles within the PHS Group is to generate further growth and secure more client wins.

"As we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year I'm looking forward to leading PHS Datashred and PHS Records Management into the next phase of growth.

"We are market leaders in data destruction and are now offering all our clients a total records management package including scanning, storage and shredding.

"We plan to invest in people, infrastructure, and sales and marketing to create leading brands in both marketplaces."

PHS Datashred and PHS Records Management employ more than 500 staff and operate from 24 sites around the UK.

The PHS Group is a leading workplace services provider, and has traded in the UK since 1963.

Besides records management and shredding it has a diverse service portfolio, providing products and services from crate rental and packaging to interior and exterior planting, laundry equipment and workwear, matting and flooring, washrooms, waste management, water machines and workplace consumables.

PHS provides these direct to UK companies, and also operates as a tier-one supplier to the facilities management (FM) market, supporting the integrated service propositions of major FMs.
