Peace restoration one of his party objectives: Sherpao.

PESHAWAR -- Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has said that restoration of peace in Pakistan was one of his party objectives.

He was talking to a delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leaders led by Senator Abdul Ghafoor Haideri. The JUI-F delegation invited QWP chairman to the All Parties Conference which would be held on February 28.

Aftab Sherpao appreciated the JUI-F efforts for peace and added that collective efforts could resolve all kinds of disputes. He assured the JUI-F leaders of his party participation in the conference, saying that QWP was committed to address the masses' sense of depravation, insecurity and uncertainty.

He regretted the lack of interest in peace initiatives by the government. "The declaration of the recently held APC was disappointing which show the lack of sincerity on the part of the government," he added.

All the political parties should take concerted efforts for the restoration of peace in the country, he said, adding that a peaceful and prosperous country would ensure improved standard of living of all the segment of society.
