Paying for the graffiti mess.

Byline: Bill Julian

ABOVE-INFLATION rises in council tax come as no surprise to those of us who dwell in Cardiff.

Over the years this seems to have become the norm.

But scrutinising the reasons for this, one item in particular got my dander up: pounds 160,000 for two newfly-posting and graffiti-busting squads.

Why oh why are those responsible for this sort of anti-social behaviour not correcting them as part of their unpaid community service sentences?

Is it because it might be a breach of their human rights or a health and safety risk? I'm sure some excuse will be found to ensure that those of us who abide by the laware once again the ones penalised for the actions of criminals.
