Pauline "Polixeni" (Bistas) Vangos, 83.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Vasilios and Anastasia (Gogos) Bistas. She grew up in Greece, returning to Worcester after her marriage at the age of 24. She worked at Table Talk Pies, then Polixeni and Donatos owned and operated Vernon Pizza for over 40 years. She was an active member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, its Seniors Group, the Ladies Philoptochos and the Daughters of Penelope. She was also a past member of the Pan Epirotic Society. Polixeni helped many people and touched many lives with her caring and compassionate nature.
Her funeral is Thursday, December 6th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:30 a.m. in St. Spyridon Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, December 5th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
