Paul Starling's Column: MIKE'S A POOR FIBBER.
OLD habits die hard. Liberal Democrat leader Mike German simply can't drop the habit of claiming credit for Labour policies.
He's one of those who believe if you repeat a lie often enough it will be accepted as true. It won't.
Poor old Mike, dumped by the voters from the Assembly cabinet and condemned for the rest of his career to the back-waters of Welsh politics, wants us to believe it was he who came up with the idea of a Minister for the Poor. He didn't.
It was first suggested two years ago by Labour AM Huw Lewis.
The Welsh Daily Mirror took up the cause and hey presto First Minister Rhodri Morgan has now finally created a Minister for Social Justice.
