Paul Burrell JOINS THE DAILY MIRROR.

PRINCESS Diana's "rock" Paul Burrell has a new duty to perform - as a Daily Mirror royal expert.

Joining our formidable royal reporting team of James Whitaker and Jane Kerr from today, the one-time butler will give a unique in- sight into the House of Windsor.

Paul said last night: "I am very much looking forward to sharing my views and opinions on the remarkable institution that is the royal family."

No one knows better about life behind the doors of Britain's royal palaces, castles and country estates.

With his inside track, Paul is joining the Newspaper of the Year to become THE most authoritative and informed voice on royal issues.

He said: "The royal family have fascinated Britain for generations and in an ever-changing monarchy in our modern world people want to be better informed.

"The Daily Mirror has given me an opportunity to help tell the truth about them."
