Pat's mega blast.

Pat Eddery was in supercharged form at Haydock where he landed a massive 10,984-1 five timer.

Eddery opened the meeting by scoring on 12-1 shot Primo Lara, and 30 minutes later he booted home 11-2 chance Dacha.

Besiege, the 6-4 favourite, was next up before Pat drew a blank in the day's big race, the Haydock Sprint, on Danehill Dancer.

Eddery then steered in 12-1 winner Oggi in the following race and added 3- 1 favourite Embankment half-an-hour later.

His final mount of the day, Mardi Gras, was a non-runner.

In the day's big race, the Haydock Sprint, flying Iktamal grabbed the the pounds 77,250 prize for trainer Ed Dunlop.

The four-year-old had five horses in front of him approaching the furlong pole, but a gap opened up for jockey Wille Ryan and the pair fairly flew to beat Blue Duster by a length.
