Passport for airport protester.
Sanjay Shah, 42, had flown to England from Kenya but was not allowed in because he only had a a UK overseas passport.
He was put straight back on a plane at Heathrow airport bound for Nairobi, Kenya.
But he feared being arrested and jailed if he left the airport because he had already given up his citizenship there.
Mr Shah lived in the cramped duty free area for 13 months. His wife Rashmita and son Veer, who have Kenyan passports, brought him food.
Now he will be able to collect his full British passport soon.
Mr Shah said yesterday that he was delighted.
The British High Commission said the decision had nothing to do with his "pointless protest".
