Parry spot of bother.

Elgin........................... 1 Queen's Park ........... 1 Spiders boss Gardner Speirs defended keeper Neil Parry after he was dismissed in a penalty bust-up.

Parry was given a yellow card in 70 minutes when he disputed the ref's spot-kick award.

And he saw red after a rant at an assistant who ordered a retake when he saved the kick.

Mark Nicolson missed Elgin's original penalty and sub keeper Blair Lochhead came off the Queen's bench to keep out Jason Crook's retaken kick.

Speirs said: "People feel so aggrieved they can say things in the heat of the moment that get them into trouble. We were in control before going down to 10 men and defended magnificently after that."

Elgin drew first blood in nine minutes when Daniel Moore's free-kick was met by skipper David Niven's glancing header.

Mark Daly levelled the game for the visitors with a header in 36 minutes.
