Parliament instructs government to set up a group to analyze new codes.

The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan has instructed the government together with the Supreme Court and the General Prosecutor's Office to set up the interdepartmental working group for analysis of new codes and laws adopted as part of court and law reform to reveal any gaps and discrepancies.

The group will also work with experts to develop a package of respective legislative acts and submit them to the Parliament for consideration.

The government should allocate additional funding for introduction and application of codes and other laws adopted as part of court and law reforms. The government should also report on the funding received and spent for preparation of the legislative acts adopted as part of court and law reforms during 2012-2018, including funding beyond the national budget.

The progress report is due on March 1.
