Parliament's asked to get in our corner.

Byline: EXCLUSIVE BY KEIR MUDIE

MPs will have the chance to support our campaign to Knight the Lions after an Early Day Motion was put down in Parliament.

Graham Stringer, MP for Blackley and Broughton, tabled the motion backing our bid to get the squad the honours - and praising the Sunday Mirror's campaign.

Mr Stringer, who was at the 1966 World Cup Final, put down Early Day Motion 983 which reads: "This House congratulates the Sunday Mirror on the Knight the Lions campaign calling for all the 1966 players to finally get the recognition they deserve."
