Parker's praising battlers after KO; WOLVES..........1 FULHAM..........0.

THERE is unlikely to be a need for Tony Khan to apologise to Fulham fans this week.

But make no mistake, the Cottagers owner finds his side in a very sorry position during the first international break of the season.

The Londoners were always expected to struggle in the top flight and now find themselves bottom with a grand total of zero points.

But after conceding three, four and three in their first three matches back in the top flight, conceding just one was at least a marked improvement for Scott Parker's side.

That came in the second half as star man Pedro Neto rifled home a winner Wolves just about deserved.

Khan upset Parker by publicly apologising to Fulham fans after the 3-0 home loss by Aston Villa last week, with the defence getting both barrels. This was much better, and Parker said afterwards: "I'm pleased with the performance, disappointed we couldn't turn it into the win.

"The way we set up we looked solid. We showed our identity."

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: "It was important to bounce back from last week's loss."
