Parishoners dancing in aisle at village jazz festival.

LIFE has been busy during November for All Hallows Church Almondbury.

Just after a hectic Patronal Festival Weekend came the village Jazz Festival in aid of Rudi's Retreat.

Parishoners supported this with a very successful cafe serving a fantastic selection of hot and cold food.

A wonderful New Orleans jazz group in church led to members dancing in the aisle!

The following weekend was more sedate with the usual services. The added traditional Founders' Day for King James' School, Almondbury, recalled how it was originally a Chantry School held in church but was moved by the landed gentry of the area down St Helen's Gate to prevent Henry VIII seizing the property.
