Parish council opens up community chest; HOCKLEY HEATH.

VILLAGERS are being called on to wrack their brains and suggest community ideas worthy of cash.

Hockley Heath Parish Council meet on January 18 to discuss expenditure for the forthcoming year and is appealing for suggestions as to how to spend the money.

In the past year, the parish council has funded a youth club at Dickens Heath Village Hall on Thursday nights and an after school homework club at Dickens Heath Library on Monday nights. It has also funded a function for retired villagers in Tidbury Green and contributed to work at Hockley Heath and Cheswick Green village halls.

Anyone with any suggestions is asked to write to Mrs Weir, 1 Hereford House, Old Warwick Road, Lapworth, Solihull, B94 6LX. Closing date for applications is Friday.
