Parallel pumping.

HAYWARD TYLER, a company who manufactures pumps and motors for the power generation and oil and gas industries, has been awarded a contract to supply a further nine Boiler Circulation Pumps (BCPs) into the Shoaiba Power Plant in Saudi Arabia. The pumps will be fitted to three large coal-fired, sub-critical drum type boilers from Alstom Power Systems, each of which has an output of 500mW. The contract follows on from previous Stage One and Stage Two phases, and means the company now has a total of over 40 Hayward Tyler BCPs installed. The pumps can often last as long as the plant, and are designed to work at high pressures and temperatures.
