Panjsher woman gives birth to quintuplets.

CHARIKAR (PAN): A woman has given birth to five babies during her first-time pregnancy in central Panjsher province, a senior health official said on Saturday.

Panjsher's Emergency Hospital Director Dr. Akbar Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News the quintuplets were normal and their mother was also in good health.

The 25-year-old mother is a resident of Jabal Alsaraj district, he said, adding the babies would be kept for a week under observation at the hospital to ensure they were in stable condition.

This is for the first time a woman gives birth to a set of quintuplets in Panjsher.
