When R tried to reach out to Tekno's management on Friday to ascertain the state of his health, none of his people was willing to divulge further information other than what the singer had put out on his Instagram page earlier.

The singer said 'Pana' singer is signing on to the American record label, owned by Sony Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation.

'I have been away and on treatment. Please don't be upset that I can't make it to shows I have been booked for. I'm taking time out to fully recover and hopefully get back to doing what I love most soonest. I apologise, and if you can please pray for me. May God watch over us all.'
