Pam's grand tour of carer centres.

ACTRESS Pam Ferris will not be Larkin around when she tries to visit 12 carer centres in one day, including one in Coventry.

Ms Ferris, who played Ma Larkin in the Darling Buds of May, aims to arrive at Coventry's Carer Centre in City Arcade, at 3.30pm tomorrow.

She will then dash on to Kenilworth Carers' Centre to meet staff and carers at 4.10pm.

Pam is travelling to 12 Princess Royal Trust Carers' Centres in 12 hours to highlight National Carers Week, which starts today. The national charity supports over 250,000 carers throughout the country.

Her route will start in the North-east and will also take in Sheffield, Nottingham, Northampton and Elstree.

She will also be presenting issues raised by carers to Christine McCafferty MP, the Carers Week Parliamentary Champion, on Wednesday.

Pauline Dye, of Coventry Carers' Centre said: "Pam has been a great supporter of carers over the years and is a former carer herself."

The centre can be contacted on 024 7663 3788.
