Palladia earns four awards as the nation says 'Thank you'.

Recognizing its commitment to excellence in program service and supportive housing, Palladia Inc., one of New York City's largest and most innovative human service agencies, has been honored with four important national and local awards. These awards come from both the private and public sectors.

Jane Velez, president and CEO of Palladia, and Marshall Goldberg, chairman emeritus and director of Palladia's Real Estate Division, received Enterprise New York's Andrew Heiskell Community Renaissance Award in New York City on November 15. The award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and the one requirement for nomination for this award is that the recipients' accomplishments be above and beyond their job descriptions or the usual scope of neighborhood participation.

Metropolitan Life/The Enterprise Foundation has selected Palladia's Hill House, a permanent supportive housing program for formerly homeless individuals and those living with HIV/AIDS, as a national finalist in recognition of excellence in program services in affordable housing.

On October 26, the Albert and Mildred Dreitzer Treatment Center for Women and Children and Mildred Dreitzer Families' Supportive Housing received the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMSHA). Exemplary Program Award for 2005 at a national conference sponsored by SAMSHA.

On October 6, 2005 Palladia, Inc-HIV Service Unit received a Certificate of Achievement from The City of New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of HIV/ AIDS Prevention and Control Women and HIV/AIDS Unit.
