Palestinian killed, another injured from Israeli gunfire south of Nablus.

NABLUS, Wednesday, April 03, 2019 (WAFA) -- An Israeli settler Wednesday morning killed a Palestinian and injured another at the junction of Beita town, south of Nablus city, confirmed security sources.

Security sources said that an Israeli settler opened fire towards a Palestinian driving an Israeli-licensed truck at Beita junction, seriously injuring him.

The man, identified as Muhammad Abed al-Fattah, a resident from the northern West Bank district of Salfit, was taken by an Israeli military ambulance to an Israeli hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sources confirmed that another Palestinian identified as 26-year-old Khaled Salah Rawajba from Rujeib village, east of Nablus, sustained injuries from a bullet in the flank.

He was rushed to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, where medics described his condition as stable.

Israeli media outlets reported Abed al-Fattah was allegedly in possession of a knife and attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.

However, witnesses denied Israeli claims and explained that the Israeli settler, identified as Joshua Sherman from the illegal settlement of Elon Moreh, northeast of Nablus, blocked the road with his vehicle, preventing Abed al-Fattah from crossing the road and opening fire at him.
