Pakistani Chief Minister Stresses Iran, Pakistan's Role in Regional Peace.

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- Chief Minister of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti said Tehran and Islamabad can play a vital role in the establishment and promotion of peace in the region.

Speaking in a meeting with the Governor-General of Iran's Southern Fars Province, Hossein Sediq Abedin, in the provincial capital city of Shiraz, Hoti also stressed that significance and fruitfulness of the two countries' bilateral relations increased manifold in the current situation of the region.

He said that cordial relations between Iran and Pakistan were the emblem of Islamic brotherhood; however, there was room for further strengthening these relations through collective efforts.

The meeting took place in a pleasant environment between the two sides' officials and both agreed on joint and practical efforts for increase cooperation between the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fars in different sectors.

The Governor-General of Fars said that people of both countries were linked in cultural, historical, trade and religious ties over a long time and there are numerous opportunities available for cementing friendship and cooperation between Fars and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sediq Abedin hoped that the visit by the delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti will give new dimension to the relations between the two provinces that will prove source of construction and development and welfare for the people of both countries.

The Pakistani chief minister thanked the governor general on support and commendable welcome to the delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He termed visits to different industries in Shiraz and remarkable development in various sectors as result of Sediq Abedin's correct role and efforts.

He termed his visit a beginning, and said that reciprocal visits will help move towards a better future.
