Pakistan-China strategic partnership stressed.

ISLAMABAD, June 11, 2011 (Frontier Star): Ambassador of Republic of China, Liu Jian at the opening ceremony of Chinese Bridge Summer Camp and Academy Summer Camp by National University of Modern Languages (NUML) called for strengthening strategic partnership between Pakistan and China. The ceremony was organized by the Islamabad Confucius Institute (ICI) of NUML to introduce Chinese Bridge Summer Camp and Academy Summer Camp. Liu Jian lauded the accuracy and fluency of Pakistani students in Chinese language and cultural understanding among NUMLs students and congratulated the students and teachers of NUML to be selected for Summer camp and China trip to understand the language and promoting Chinese culture. He said that the summer camp trip to China will provide students opportunities to sharpen their communication and language skills, exchanging their interaction and strengthening the Pak-China friendship. He said that this will not only develop a mutual cultural and educational bound between Pakistan and China, but also stimulate a spiritual relationship, bilateral ties and strategic and political interests between both the countries. Speaking to the students, he said youth to youth interaction is the essence to exchange partnership and also strengthen strategic partnership between both of the nations to pass on friendship culture from generation to generation. Rector NUML, Prof. Dr Aziz Ahmad Khan said Pakistan and China have similar symbols of identity and share identical dynasty and cultural traits with each other. He said that the bridge university is intending to build thorough young students by sharing cultural, educational, spiritual and friendly relations would deepen the Pak China ties to face worldly challenges as both the nations have homogeneity in their cultural traits, norms, physical appearance, educational and economical interests. While addressing to the students of summer camp, he said the main objective of providing the opportunity to go to China is to make friendly relations with exchange of knowledge, affection, sincerity, show unity and cultural similarity to build a friendship bridge for Pak China nations. He also praised the joint efforts of Chinese Embassy and NUML. Chinese Bridge Summer Camp is the project of Joint statement between Pak-China in which 100 students are participating to depart for China on June 15 and will be received by Shan Dong University, China. The students are selected from different institutions, school, colleges like Confucius institute Islamabad, Global System of Integrated Studies, Aitchison College, Foundation School, Roots School System, City School, Modern Language School and College and Pakistan Scouts Cadet College. The Academy Summer Camp is the project of the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and China in which 50 students from Chinese language department and Islamabad Confucius Institute (ICI) will depart on June 30 and will be received by Beijing Language and Cultural University, China. The students of Modern Languages School and college, Islamabad and Confucius Institute Islamabad presented their performances and sang Chinese language songs to entertain the guests. Chinese Cultural Counsellor Mr. Yang Lin Hi and Director NUML Confucius Institute, Dr. Ge Lisheng were also present on the occasion.
