Pakistan wins Bronze medal in Judo, Athelte got third position.

ISLAMABAD -- Asian Senior Judo Championship 2015, Kuwait, Organized by Judo Union of Asia in collaboration with International Judo Federation, in which 31 Countries have participated. There were 210 Competitors, in which 81 female and 129 were male Athletes. Competitions were held in 14 different weight categories, in which -60 Syed SamiUllah, -66 Babar Hussain, -73 Imtiaz Hussain, -81 Karamat Butt and in -100 KG Shah Hussain Shah while in Female weight Category, in -48 Humaira Ashiq and in -57KG Shumaila Gull of Pakistan took part in the competition.

In -60KG Syed SamiUllah, competed with World No 3rd Ranking holder and Olympic Bronze Medalist, Korean Kim won Jin and astonished to all by his 5 minutes competition, after a great fight of 4 minutes and 28 Second Sami not succeeded to defeat him. Kim Won Jin got Gold Medal. In -66KG Babar Hussain fought and defeated in 5 minutes by Chinese Taipei, Chen Wei Chieh, who got 5th position, in -73KG Imtiaz Hussain fought and defeated to Necolaos Kevin of Lebanon in 5 minutes of his first fight but in his second fight with Zanbaatar Odbayar of Mongolia but not succeeded to defeat him, in -81 Karamat Butt defeated by experiences Zolonove Vladir of Kyrgystan, who got 5th Position while in -100 KG Shah Hussain Shah was face to face with Niemkunchon, Sittipond of Thailand and defeated him in 4 minutes and 15 seconds, Shah Hussain Shah lost his 2nd fight from 17th World Ranker Uzbekitani Sayidov Ramziddin, who got 3rd Position. Shah Hussain Shah reached to Repechage in which he knock out to Shahi Jaswinder of India in 2 minutes and 17 seconds and Shah Hussain Shah got Broze medal by defeating to Kurgystani Toktogonov Bolot in 4 minutes and 37 seconds in 4th fight. While in -48KG female Weight Category Humaira Ashiq defeated in 4 minutes by Podyadova Alexendra of Kazakhstan, who got 5th Postition and in -57KG Shumaila Gull was defeated in 4 minutes by Turkemnistani Madraimova Zuhra, who got 7th position.

Over all Pakistan got 12th Position out of 31 countries while India got 16th Position in the Championship, which is a proof that under the supervision of Col. Rana Shujaat Ali and Masood Ahmad, President and Secretary General of Pakistan Judo Federation and under the Coaching of Iranian Judo Coach, who perform his duties well for the development of Judo in Pakistan and continuously developing. One day Pakistan will bring Gold Medal in World and Asian Senior Championships if Pakistan Sports Board and IPC continuously will support Judo as they are supporting.

President of PJF, Col. Rana Shujaat Ali appreciated the performance of all and said that he is very thankful to Pakistan Sports Board that they hired an Iranian Judo Coach as National Judo Coach of Pakistan and organized continuously National Judo Training camp in different Cities of Pakistan. Secretary General of Pakistan Judo Federation, Masood Ahmad said that as a result of the National Judo Training camp and efforts of the Iranian Judo Coach are in front of us that our Athletes fight with World Ranker more than 4 minutes. Time of competition in Judo is 5 minutes. He said that all credits goes to Pakistan Sports Board and IPC because they cooperated and supporting continuously to Judo in Pakistan and the result is in front of all.

"I am 100% sure that Shah Hussain Shah Will qualify in Rio Olympic 2016, Brazil, which is a great honor for Pakistan that for the First time in Judo it will qualify in Olympics. he added.
