Pakistan's central bank, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), has asked Pakistan expats to open accounts in the nation if they are to transfer money legally from abroad.

It is believed that the move would help to curb illegal transfer of money and frauds. The move was divulged by the executive director of the State Bank of Pakistan, Syed Irfan Ali.

The official also said that the move would ensure USD30bn for the nation every year through foreign remittances.
