Pakistan always strive for early Kashmir dispute settlement.
LAHORE -- Pakistan has always been extending moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), besides flashing this core issue to the world community for its early settlement in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiris.
This was the upshot of speakers at a camp set up by Kashmir Centre Lahore (KCL) in front of Punjab Assembly on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day here Thursday. Former Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa, Punjab PPP Additional Secretary General Ghulam Mohiyuddin Dewan, KCL In charge Inamul Hassan Kashmiri, Azad Kashmir PMLN President Raja Shahzad Ahmed, PPP AJK President Dr Ahsan Masood, Muslim Conference Lahore's Convenor Haji Iqbal Qureshi, All Parties Hurriyat Conference
(APHC) leader Engineer Mushtaq Mahmood and a large number of prominent religious and other scholars spoke addressed the camp.
Latif Khosa said that United Nations Organisation (UNO) and international community had promised to ensure provision of selfdetermination right to Kashmiris in 1948, but that promise was not fulfiled yet. The India had since long been resorting to sheer violation of human rights in the IHK and ignored all the UN Security Council's resolutions in this regard and was now eying the membership of the UNSC, which was impossible, he added.
Khosa said, though Kashmir dispute was very old, the Kashmiris must not disappoint as they would succeed to achieve freedom from the India yoke. While, Dewan said that India must not think of suppressing the Kashmir cause, citing, Kashmiris had been keeping their freedom movement alive by rendering supreme sacrifices for about onethird century and they would mange to give a logical end this great movement.
The KCL In charge Inamul Hassan Kashmiri said that India wanted to cut of the jagular vein of Pakistan by grabing the Kashmir and she would meet an utter failure in her such nefarious designs. Kashmiris were not fighting for their freedom only but to complete territorials of Pakistan, he observed.
Azad Kashmir PMLN President Raja Shahzad Ahmed said that international community must take strict notice of the human rights violation in Indian Occupied Kashmir and Kashmiris must be given their due right of selfdetermination so as to settle the core regional issue accoding to the provisions of the UNO resolutions.
