Pakistan, Turkey join hands to work for social betterment policy.
Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogon and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment, Sitara Ayaz and Sindh Minister for Social Welfare, Nergis N.D. Khan held conducive deliberations on the issue.
Sitara Ayaz briefed the Turkish Premier about the steps taken by the government to rehabilitate the terrorism-affected families.
The Turkish Prime Minister offered to establish a model orphanage in KP province.
Nergis N.D. Khan briefed the host about her government's welfare projects for the vulnerable groups.
Earlier, the visiting Pakistani Ministers attended a two days "International Conference on Family & Social Policies" organized by the Turkish Government. They also met with Fatima Shaheen and discussed proposals to enhance cooperation and best practices for social protection of vulnerable groups in both Pakistani and Turkish societies.
Sitara Ayaz reiterated her earlier invitation extended to Fatima ?ahin and her Deputy Minister Prof. Dr. Ashkin Asan to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at their earliest convenience.
Turkish Minister for Family & Social Policy Fatma ?ahin and Pakistan Ambassador in Turkey Muhammad Haroon Shaukat were also present in the meeting.
