Pakistan, Canada resolve to enhance security cooperation.
ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan and Canada on Tuesday reiterated the resolve to work together to enhance mutual security cooperation.
Canadian High Commissioner Gregory Giokas called on Secretary Defence Lt Gen Mohammad Alam Khattak (Retd) here at the Ministry of Defence and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The two sides resolved to continue working together to enhance mutual security cooperation, said a press release.
The Secretary Defence thanked the High Commissioner for the Canadian support for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) and flood victims. He appreciated the Canadian government for taking the
lead on G8 Border Prosperity Initiative for the development of border regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He apprised the envoy of the sacrifices made by Pakistanis in terms of life and property.
The High Commissioner described the relations between Pakistan and Canada as close and cordial.
