Pak-American terror suspect's goal was 'killing as many DC Metro riders as possible'.

Washington, Oct 28 (ANI): Pakistani-American terror suspect, Farooque Ahmed, who was busted by the FBI for helping whom he thought were Al Qaeda terrorists plotting to bomb the Washington's subways, aimed to kill the maximum number of Metro riders possible through 'simultaneous bomb attacks.'

Ahmed's goal was "killing as many Metro riders as possible through simultaneous bomb attacks... It's chilling," New York Daily News quoted US Attorney Neil MacBride, as saying.

The 34-year-old computer engineer, who became a naturalized citizen in New York 17 years ago, and lives with his wife and baby in suburban Virginia, was accused of making sketches and surveillance videos of busy subway stops near the Pentagon and tourist-packed Arlington Cemetery.

On Staten Island, a man believed to be Ahmed's brother came home to the family house in a state of confusion, the paper said.

"I cannot answer any questions. I just found out myself. Please give us some time. I'm sorry," the man said.

Ahmed's father, identified by friends as a retired Pakistani bank officer, also brushed off reporters, saying, "I don't know anything."

According to the federal complaint, Ahmed began meeting with the faux terrorists in April, turning over video footage, crowd estimates and sketches of stations, according to the complaint.

"Ahmed wanted to kill as many military personnel as possible," the complaint alleged.

He is the second would-be terrorist from Staten Island arrested this week. On Tuesday, Abdel Hameed Shehadeh was charged with lying to the feds about attempts to join the Taliban. (ANI)
