Pak weightlifters to feature in 1st South Asian Championship.

ISLAMABAD, March 14, 2012 (Balochistan Times): A seven-member Pakistan weightlifting outfit will feature in the 1st South Asian Championship 2012 to be held in Nepal from March 21 to 25. According to a spokesman of Pakistan Weightlifting Federation the trials to select the weightlifters were held at Railway Stadium Garhi Shahu, Lahore. Besides the seven-members another four has been put among the standbys. The selected: Khurram Shahzad (WAPDA) 94Kg, Muhammad Irfan (WAPDA) 77Kg, Mustaqeem Mahmood Butt (H.E.C.) +105Kg, Tahir Ahmad (WAPDA) 105Kg, Muhammad Shahzad (WAPDA) 56Kg, Imran Ismail (H.E.C) 62Kg, Abu Sufian (Railways) 69Kg. The standbys include Yasir Ali (HEC) 62Kg, Sajid Rasool (Railways) 105Kg, Zohaib Manzoor (Railways) 77Kg and Muhammad Tahir (Punjab) 77Kg. Mushtaq Ahmed and Abdul Aziz Khan will accompany the team as coach and manager, respectively.
