Pak forex rise to $ 14.63707 bln.

KARACHI -- Total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country rise to dollars 14.63707 billion against dollars 13.99001 billion, said State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

According to SBP's weekly report issued here on Thursday,the foreign reserves held by State Bank on July 4, amounted dollars 9.60203 billion against dollars 9.03302 billion of the previous week. The net foreign reserves held by other banks were dollars 5.03504 billion against the previous balance of dollars 4.95609 billion.

During the week, SBP's liquid foreign exchange reserves increased by $ 569 million to $ 9,602 million compared to $ 9,033 million in the previous week. The increase in SBP reserves is mainly attributed to receipts of $ 556 million from International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Over the week, on account of external debt servicing and other official payments, SBP has made payments of $ 78 million from its reserves.
