Paintless class a finish.

A. Schulman subsidiary Invision, Inc. (Sharon Center, Ohio), offers a thermoplastic-sheet alternative to paint for attaining a high-gloss class A decorative surface. The company says that Invision sheet provides properties unattainable with conventional paint and paint film, such as durability, flexibility, and impact resistance. The patented technology uses extruded ionomer-based sheet, four layers thick. This includes a thick, protected color layer, which can be formulated to match an array of colors currently used in the automotive and nonautomotive industries.

Invision sheet is suitable for a variety of applications including automotive, marine, RV, lawn/garden, and consumer products such as electronics and cosmetics. It can be used in thermoforming, profile extrusion, and molding industries, where it offers savings in that it can eliminate some secondary painting and lamination. It is also reprocessable and requires little to no capital investment. Available in a range of widths and thicknesses, Invision sheet is supplied in roll, cut sheet, or tape form.
