Pacquiao's Advisor Michael Koncz Reveals Negotiations Of Counteroffers From Mayweather's Camp, Both Camps Pushing Hard For Long Overdue Fight.

The long overdue fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been somewhere between smooth or rough, hot or cold, and close or far since 2009. In recent months, there have been renewed negotiations of the said super fight. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather have been taunting each other, especially the former, on social media and various interviews, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Recently, Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz has revealed that the Filipino boxing icon is constantly being updated about the ongoing negotiations for the Mayweather fight and they are pushing hard in making the fight happen.

As the negotiations evolve, both Pacquiao and Mayweather's camps have been reportedly proposing their offers just to make the super fight come to fruition, (http://ringtv.craveonline.com/news/372861-adviser-manny-pacquiao-being-updated-on-floyd-mayweather-jr-talks) Ring TV reports. Koncz has shared some particulars about the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

According to Koncz, the matter is still under negotiation. "I spoke to Manny this morning and I gave him what is perceived to be a counteroffer from the Mayweather people," Koncz told Ring TV. "We discussed it and now I've given instruction to Bob Arum to counter their counter."

Koncz added that Top Rank's Arum has been negotiating with Mayweather's camps in the last two weeks. The Canadian advisor said that Arum phoned to inform them about Mayweather's counteroffers. However, Koncz remained tight-lipped about Mayweather's alleged counteroffer tactics. He said that he has given Arum instructions to counter Mayweather's counteroffer after speaking to the Filipino eight division world champion. Koncz revealed that he is not entirely optimistic about the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, but the good thing is that both camps are still trying to meet a common middle ground that both parties find acceptable.

Apparently, Mayweather's camp is indeed trying to work out a deal with the Filipino, as opposed to a recent comment by ESPN analyst Dan Rafael, saying that the negotiation for the super fight is a (http://www.boxingnews24.com/2014/12/mayweather-pacquiao-fight-in-doubt/) one-way traffic . Rafael said in his ESPN chat session that only Pacquiao is the one trying to make the fight happen, but based on Koncz's recent statements, both camps are trying to work out a deal.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao has once again taunted the undefeated fighter in his latest tweet. Pacquiao, who has been daring Mayweather for the fight since his victory over Chris Algieri in Macau, challenged Mayweather to "make fistory" in his first ever tweet in 2015. Mayweather has yet to comment on Pacquiao's latest social media jab.

The ball will drop at midnight to usher in 2015. (https://twitter.com/FloydMayweather) @FloydMayweather let's not drop the ball on fighting each other next year! (https://twitter.com/hashtag/LetsMakeFistory?src=hash) #LetsMakeFistory

At this point in time, both Pacquiao and Mayweather have expressed their desires of making the super fight happen. Will they ever meet in the ring?
