Pacifico Beer sponsors LA Hispanic event

Pacifico beer and Consolidated Pacific Brands, Inc., a California-based national importer, recently co-sponsored the Los Angeles Hispanic community's "Extravaganza Sin Fronteras" (Extravaganza without Borders).

The two-day event, which benefits the Los Angeles Park and Recreation fund, was held August 19 and 20 at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area.

Jan Miller, vice president of national marketing, Consolidated Pacific Brands, Inc., said "Pacifico beer is proud to be a sponsor of the Sin Fronteras event. The originator of the event is Richard Vasquez Entertainment."

Miller added that over $86,000 has been raised for Whittier Narrows Park in the past three years.

"The park and surrounding recreation area are a major outdoor resource for the greater Los Angeles Hispanic community," Miller explained. "In conjunction with Vasquez Entertainment, a significant part of the proceeds from the sale of beer will make possible the purchase of a brand new lawn and grounds mowing system."
