PYRAMID TECHNOLOGY COMMENTS ON FOURTH QUARTER RESULTS

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Pyramid Technology Corporation (NASDAQ: PYRD) today announced that it anticipates lower than expected earnings for its fourth quarter ended Sept. 30, 1993 due to a shortfall in international revenues. Revenues and earnings are expected to be closer to the company's fiscal 1993 third quarter levels and substantially improved from last year's fourth quarter results. Final results for the quarter will be announced Oct. 28 upon completion of the audit of the company's fiscal year.
The company stated that although sales in its North American markets remained strong during the recently ended quarter, revenues were adversely affected by weak economies in Europe and Japan.
For the first nine months of fiscal 1993, Pyramid reported revenues of $173,149,000 and net income of $5,242,000 or $.42 per share.
