PUC announces series of events to commemorate 'Ashra-e-Tajdeed-e-Paigham-e-Pakistan'.
ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) has announced a series of events to commemorate the ongoing 'Ashra-e-Tajdeed-e-Paigham-e-Pakistan, ('Decade of Reaffirming commitment of Paigham-e-Pakistan) being commemorated to disseminate the message of peace among the youth.
Chairman PUC, Sahibzada Zahid Mehmood Qasmi said in a statement that the 'Ashra' being commemorated (from Jan 10 to 20) to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism besides disseminating the message of peace to youth.
He said the Ashra would help spreading message of peace in the country besides enhancing awareness about the menaces of terrorism and extremism.
PUC has planned a series of events to disseminate the message of Paigham-e-Pakistan, he said adding that the Pakistan Students Seminar has been organized on January 12 (Saturday) in Jamia Qasmia, Faisalabad, followed by Lahore on Jan 13, Sahiwal on January 14, Islamic Centre Faisalabad on Jan 16. Important points of Paigham-e-Pakistan would be highlighted in Friday sermons. Various Paigham-e-Pakistan Conferences would be held at nine divisions of Punjab.
