PU academician to get Emerald Literati Network Award.

LAHORE, July 11 -- Punjab University (PU) Department of Library and Information Sciences Chairperson Dr Kanwal Ameen's research paper have been selected for the Emerald Literati Network 2010 Awards for Excellence.

Emerald nominates 'an outstanding paper' every year for the award, and Dr Ameen's paper has been included among the award winning papers. The award winning papers are selected by a team of eminent academics.

Dr Ameen's paper titled "Information and digital literacy: A stumbling block to development? - A Pakistan perspective", has been selected as one of the most impressive pieces of work throughout 2009. She will receive the award by post within a couple of months..
