PTI protest aims to hold rulers accountable.

PESHAWAR -- A stanch supporter of Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a lawyer on Monday has said that the November 02 protest sit-in (dharna) is aimed at breaking the current status quo and bringing the whole system under transparency.

Pir Fida, who spoke at a news conference on Monday at Peshawar Press Club, saying it was need of the hour to eliminate the current malpractices from government institutions otherwise the institutions would further degenerate and turn into destruction. He clearly said the protest will hold the rulers accountable and that they should face the interrogation in Panama leaks scandal.

Everyone has democratic and constitutional right to stage protest demonstration and raise voice for their valid rights. But the federal government has violated the constitution by torturing PTI workers he alleged.

He added that Prime Minister Main Nawaz Sharief could arrange the public gathering at every part of the country but deprived other citizens from those rights. He said that a bad attitude had been adopted with the PTI workers in Bani Gala and allegedly tortured them.

If the politicians are sincere with Pakistan then why not they back their assets and bank balance to their country Mr Fida asked and said that the PTI chairman Imran Khan given call to the nation for eradicating the current status quo and to get rid of the corrupt system in the country.

He appealed to workers of all political and religious parties to support the PTI chairman in protest sit-in and put the current Pakistani system on right track.
