PTI not registered any case against Shehbaz Sharif: Ali Muhammad Khan.
ISLAMABAD -- Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan has said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government did not register a single case against the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif.
Former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif was apprehended by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme case, he said while talking to a private news channel on Thursday.
The Minister said NAB was an independent institution, which was working against all the corrupt elements without any discrimination. He said that Chairman NAB Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal was appointed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party with consensus. The Opposition was leveling baseless allegations against NAB and the PTI government, he added.
Ali Muhammad Khan said PML-N during its tenure had registered bogus cases against Prime Minister Imran Khan, adding a PTI MPA was also sent to jail in fake case during the last regime.
