PSF released Rs, 11 million to science journals in six years.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) has released an amount of Rs11 million to various national science journals from 2009 to 2014 to develop a research culture in the country encouraging publishers to specifically focus on the area.

According to the official documents of the PSF, an amount of Rs50,000 was released to Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal, 2013-14, while Rs75,000 issued to Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal and Rs50,000 to International Journal of Phycology and Phycochemistry during 2012-13 .

An amount of Rs350,000 was released in 2011-12 to five publications including Rs100,000 for Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal, Rs75,000 each to Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Geographic Journal, while Rs50,000 each was given to Farming Outlook and International Journal of Phycology and Phycochemistry.

In 2010-11 Rs 50,000 was released to Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal and Rs40,000 each to Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Geographical Journal and Rs30,000 each to Farming Outlook and International Journal of Phycology and Phycochemistry.

In 2009-10, Rs50,000 each was given to four organizations including Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Farming Outlook, Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal and International Journal of Phycology and Phycochemistry.
